Reputable Affiliate Programs for Websites

Use Trusted Affiliate Partners to Earn Money on the Internet

Increase revenue potential from pay per sale or pay per lead schemes by using reputable affiliate programs from trusted partners.

Website owners can earn money on the internet by recommending products from third parties and earning a commission when a customer buys that product. They apply to become an affiliate partner with a merchant and, once accepted, can put affiliate links to relevant items they think their visitors will buy.

It’s important for both the website publisher and potential customers to use trusted affiliate merchants for a number of reasons.

Why use a Reputable Affiliate Merchant?

  • The best affiliate programs pay a fair level of commission and give bonuses to hard working affiliates who generate high levels of sales.
  • They are usually well established companies with a strong brand image that is easily recognized and therefore trusted by potential customers and that translates more easily into sales.
  • Publishers can be sure of on time payment with a reputable company.
  • They can also be confident that their customers will receive good customer service, thereby increasing the likelihood of returning to their website for more product recommendations.
  • Reputable affiliate programs offer a wide range of linking options from simple text links to eye-catching banners, individual product links (called deep links) and even more sophisticated data feeds for real time product promotion. All these make it easier for an affiliate to generate more revenue.

Trusted Affiliate Programs

Amazon offers and hosts its own affiliate scheme, a well respected program with easy-to-implement links as well as more sophisticated linking tools for experienced webmasters. The breadth of categories on offer at Amazon together with its reputation for on time delivery and prompt customer service when problems arise make it an obvious choice for many small website owners and bloggers.

Travel websites have a host of trusted brand names at their fingertips from Expedia and Opodo pay per sale programs to Kayak and HotelsCombined pay per lead affiliate schemes. Many of these schemes make it easy to customize their offer with a website’s own “private” branding, increasing credibility for the website owner and giving another good reason to use a quality partner.

Whatever the niche, there are good quality affiliate merchants to be found for building strong partnerships and maximizing revenue potential. The best will happily listen to feedback from affiliates and tailor their programs to suit.

Tips for Finding Reputable Affiliate Schemes

Whilst brand name and reputation is important, high quality affiliate programs will have a good earnings per click rate (EPC) which increases the likelihood of a sale being made. If struggling to choose between 10 well known brands, always check the EPC and opt for the higher ones first.

Equally, use EPC as a good benchmark when looking for less well known names especially in specialist niches plus check how long a particular merchant has been running their program before dismissing a zero EPC as a failure.

Choose Affiliate Partners Wisely

Do some research before applying to affiliate programs and look for trusted partners that offer value to both the affiliate and their customer. Check likely earnings potential and customer service levels offered by the affiliate merchant in order to maximize income potential.
